Michelle & Trey

Michelle and Trey chose the Lake Norman Yacht Club for their beautiful wedding day.  From the ceremony location to the cakes to the favors, every detail was perfect, and mostly created by the bride and groom.  Congratulations to the new family and a special thanks to my helpers for the day, Bethany and Kayla! Trey & Michelle-1

Madison & Jason

The pretty girl below is the kind of girl that makes everyone feel so special.  From the minute she asked Peyton and I to shoot her wedding to Jason, we felt like a part of the family – so taken care of and loved! If you didn’t make it to the wedding, keep an eye out for Jason’s surprise dance below.  Madison thought he was about to remove her garter, but weeks of dance rehearsal with his friends thought otherwise.  For the full experience, play Bieber in the background while you peruse.

Kayla & Kyle

From the first time I talked to Kayla over the phone, I knew her wedding was going to be sweet.  From her extra-charming Southern accent, to the venue modeled after Tara from Gone With the Wind, to the fact that Kyle is a farmer… I couldn’t wait to see it.  It was a rainy day for an outdoor wedding, but after a little weather delay, the ceremony and reception were perfect.  I loved photographing this family-centered wedding, and I will not apologize for the number of pictures I took of the cute little girls in tutu dresses 🙂  Congratulations Kyle and Kayla!

Carrie & Matt

You know those rare families where everyone is beautiful and sweet and you can’t help but be a little jealous of how ridiculously good-looking every single one is?  One of those families just formed when Carrie and Matt got married at the Peninsula Club in October.  These two wanted their wedding to be about their family and their love and I think they got it.  They forewent the traditional wedding party to include their SEVEN children as groomsmen and bridesmaids.  While everyone was getting ready, Peyton and I could not get over how in love with Carrie the girls were, constantly telling her how pretty she looked and that her dress was perfect.  As I type this, I’m remembering my own angsty teenage attitude and am even more impressed.  One of my favorite moments was when the girls spotted their dad and brothers out wandering around the grounds before the ceremony.  They formed a tiny human wall around their mom so that Matt wouldn’t see Carrie before the wedding.  Another was Matt’s removal of the garter.  There was classic rock, a Rambo-esque necktie sweat band, and a lot, a lot, of air guitar.  It was really hilarious and I hope there is video out there somewhere.

Thank Carrie and Matt for letting us be a part of your day.  You make our jobs easy!

jason & jordan (photo booth)

a little fun courtesy of the Robinson Wedding Guest List.  Thanks 100x to Peyton for working it in the photo booth!

jason & jordan (got hitched!)

On August 25th Jason and Jordan got married at Vesuvius Vineyards and mine was the lucky family that got a new girl cousin!  Everything was beautiful, weather included .  Who gets sunny skies and temperatures in the 70’s for an August wedding? From beginning to end, Jordan could not have been a more laid back bride and every little detail was perfect.  It was especially fun for Peyton and me to get to be a part of the whole day with people we know and love. If I had to choose favorite pictures, which I don’t but I’m going to, they would be:

1. Jason in the pink room getting his tie fixed

2. Georgia the flower girl peeking while cousin Sawyer dutifully closes his eyes for the prayer

3. The light beaming in on the bride and groom during communion

4. And basically any of the ones with Jordan looking fly like she always does

Enjoy the pictures here and look for more from the photo booth soon.

tiffany & andrew

Here’s a preview for Tiffany and Andrew’s beautiful wedding at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church & Raffaldini Vineyards.  The rain held off and I could not imagine a more perfect setting for an intimate wedding.
